The Brief

The assignment was to apply a creative design process, digital imaging skills and visual design principles to produce delivarables for National Parks Board create social media.

Target Audience

The target audience was students Aged 16+ that are passionate about nature and takes steps to conserve it. Fond of gardening and maintains some plants. Is active on social media accounts and spends at least 2 hours daily. Willing to spend the time to attend workshops to learn more about flora.

Challenges Faced

I was thinking on how can I revitalize the event to be more refreshing that appeals to the target audience? What were the things that teenagers are attracted too these days? What are some things in the current posts that I can change or improve?

Design Solution

After pondering I decided that I had to get the ball rolling, gathering design principles by moodboarding as shown, highlighted the features that was most common and utilised them in my posts. With ideas formulating I built a new image based off my previous designs incorporating traced out illustrations of gardening tools, flowers paired with the vibrant colours of the SGF logo and witty quotes allowed me to express the fun and kiddish nature of the events for SGF to attract the intended target audience.
